Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Intern to support engineers on active projects. You will learn discipline policies and participate in technical studies under supervision, gaining hands-on experience with design tasks and project production.

This internship emphasizes growth within the firm, exposure to site visits, and the chance to develop practical skills in a collaborative engineering environment across SSR's facilities.

Qualifications

• The Electrical Intern assists the engineering staff in the execution of the technical activities required on assigned projects.
• Under supervision participates in technical studies, investigation and designs on assigned projects.
• Assists the project team in the production of projects which shall include but not be limited to:

Responsibilities

• Demonstrated ability to learn the basics of design and analyses within his or her discipline.
• An individual with potential for employment and growth within the firm.
• Incumbent must be able to operate a computer to check email and to produce documents using a software program.
• Incumbent shall be able to traverse and navigate construction sites to inspect work done by contractors.
• Manipulates plans periodically. Must be able to lift plans weighting 30 pounds.
