Job summary

HDR is seeking an Electrical Intern to join our Phoenix, AZ team. You will gain real-world experience on projects involving design and on-site construction observation, while connecting with peers and company leaders through mentoring programs.

You will apply standard engineering techniques under supervision, develop professional skills, and participate in HDR’s employee-owned culture. This is a part-time, temporary internship.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills

Responsibilities

  • Gain real-world experience on exciting projects including design and on-site construction observation
  • Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs
  • Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
  • Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
  • Perform other duties as needed

In the role of Electrical Intern, we'll count on you to:

  • Gain real-world experience on exciting projects including design and on-site construction observation
  • Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs
  • Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
  • Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
  • Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer 3 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Revit and other software packages related to field of study/industry
  • Preference is given to local candidates
Required Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
  • Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
