Job summary

SSR Mining Inc. is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician for the Cripple Creek & Victor Mine in Teller County, Colorado. The role focuses on electrical and instrumentation repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance to support safe, reliable plant operations.

You will work with PLCs, instrumentation devices, and NEC-compliant installations, reading schematics and documenting work orders as required. The position requires shift flexibility and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; technical certification preferred.
2–5+ years of electrical/instrumentation maintenance in industrial/mining environments.
Experience with low-voltage systems (≤600V), motors, and power distribution.
Experience troubleshooting instrumentation (pressure/temperature/flow/level).
Working knowledge of PLCs and process control concepts; read schematics/P&IDs.
Familiarity with NEC standards and safe electrical installation practices.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems and document work orders.
Safely operate electrical test equipment like megger, clamp meters, and multimeters.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and manuals; update maintenance systems.
Install and maintain electrical/instrumentation components per NEC standards.
Troubleshoot and calibrate electrical systems and instrumentation with supervision.
Identify motor components and configurations; apply proper wiring practices.
