Job summary

Domtar in Plymouth, North Carolina is seeking an Electrical/Instrumentation Maintenance role at all levels. This full-time position supports the mill's electrical and instrumentation team, performing tests, calibrations and preventive maintenance to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.

Candidates should be safety-minded and capable of working rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of technical electrical assessment.
• Available to work varying hours including shift, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime and respond to emergencies.
• Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Wear the required personal protective equipment.
• Work in industrial conditions with safety training and protection.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests and maintenance procedures for instruments used for measuring and controlling flow, level, pressure, temperature, chemical composition and other variables in manufacturing and processing.
• Calibrate components and instruments according to manufacturer's specifications.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work and complete test and maintenance reports.
• Install control and measurement instruments on existing and new plant equipment and processes.
• Consult with and advise process operators.
