Job summary

Domtar is seeking apprentices for the Electrical and Instrumentation Apprenticeship at our facility in Nekoosa, Wisconsin. The role is a full-time permanent apprenticeship with work on mill machinery, electrical and instrumentation systems, and safety compliance.

Apprentices will support journeymen, perform maintenance tasks, and learn to read blueprints and PID diagrams while adhering to NFPA70 guidelines and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must pass respirator fit test and be clean shaven where the respirator seals.
• Must meet established test standards and have a good safety record.
• Must be able to lift up to 50–100 pounds regularly and work in hot areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist journeymen with repairs, maintenance and installation of mill machinery and equipment.
• Help locate, determine and repair electrical/instrumentation malfunctions.
• Maintain environmental systems and power generating equipment as required.
• Follow NFPA70 rules and participate in housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
