Job summary

Domtar Plymouth, NC is seeking an Electrical/Instrument Maintenance (All Levels) for a full-time permanent role in our Electrical Maintenance department. The position focuses on maintaining electrical and instrumentation systems used in manufacturing, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

Responsibilities include testing, calibrating, preventive maintenance, and installing instruments on plant equipment, with potential shift rotations including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical electrical assessment completion required.
• Ability to work varying hours including shift, weekends and holidays.
• OT availability and emergency call-ins may be required.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Wear required PPE in industrial conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests and maintenance procedures for instruments measuring flow, level, pressure, temperature and other variables.
• Calibrate components and instruments per manufacturer specifications.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and complete related reports.
• Install control and measurement instruments on existing and new plant equipment and processes.
• Advise process operators on instrumentation-related issues.

Education

Associate's Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation

One year related industrial electrical/instrumentation experience
