Job summary

A leading global certification company is seeking Electrical & Instrumentation or/and Mechanical inspectors for a contract position in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The role involves monitoring construction and verifying equipment for compressors. Preferred candidates will have relevant certifications like AWS CWI and experience in quality assurance for rotating equipment. This contract is expected to last approximately 2 months with pay rates ranging from $45 to $50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Certified API SIRE inspector is preferable.
• AWS CWI certification required.
• Experience in Quality Assurance of rotating equipment is a must.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and verify construction and assembly as per ITP.
• Witness testing and review quality records.
• Conduct final inspections and verify equipment.

SGS is looking for Electrical & Instrumentation or/and Mechanical inspectors (Contract) for approximatively 2 months of work.

Scope of work:

Product to inspect: Instrument Air Compressor Units on Structural Skids - Tag # CBE-7515 and CBE-7545.

Scope of services:

• Monitor and Verify construction and assembly as per ITP
• Witness testing
• Review NDE and quality records
• Verify equipment
• Final inspection
• Equipment Release

Qualifications:

• Certified API SIRE inspector is preferable
• AWS CWI certification
• NDE (UT, MT, PT, etc..) & NACE certifications are preferable.
• Must have good Quality Assurance / inspection experience of rotating equipment especially compressors
• Skid fabrication inspection experience would be an asset
• The inspector will be required to sign an independent contractor agreement/sub-contractor agreement (1099) with SGS North America Inc.
• Expected length of contract is 2 months.
• Pay - $45/$50 per hour.
