The Chillicothe Mill is a fully integrated paper operation located in beautiful southern Ohio, a short drive south of Columbus. Operating three paper machines, this historic mill is a cornerstone of Pixelle’s operations, offering excellent opportunities for the right individual to make a difference to the operations and community. Chillicothe Mill employs approximately 900 team members.
The E/I Mechanic supports the pulp and paper manufacturing equipment. The position is a key resource to ensuring our manufacturing operations run efficiently. It requires electrician skills to ensure all electrical and instrumentation work complies with State and Federal Code requirements. Working closely with operations, the E/I Mechanic is responsible for all electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic hardware and software aspects of assigned tasks, including electronic components, VFDs, motors, solenoids, limit switches, PLC I/O modules, sensors, transmitters, etc. The role also involves planning, procurement, and documentation activities to enhance electrical and instrumentation maintenance by collaborating with supervisors, planners, and operations. Additionally, the technician will share knowledge on maintaining and troubleshooting PLCs, instrumentation, and controls. Adherence to all safety and compliance guidelines is mandatory.
