Job summary

Sun Orchard in Haines City, FL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform electrical and instrumentation maintenance in an industrial food/beverage setting. The role involves installing, calibrating, and servicing sensors, transmitters, PLCs, and control systems.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or GED required.
Technical diploma, associate's degree, or certification in electrical, instrumentation, or related field required.
2+ years in an industrial environment with hands-on experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance.
Proficiency with PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems.
Ability to use diagnostic and calibration tools.
Strong problem solving abilities.
Experience in food and beverage preferred.
Ability to work independently and with a team.
Detail oriented.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Install, calibrate, and commission electrical and instrumentation equipment, such as sensors, transmitters, controllers, switches, and variable frequency drives.
Install and troubleshoot PLC equipment and processes, and calibrate plant instrumentation like level transmitters and flow meters.
Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and control wiring diagrams.
Set up control systems (PLCs, DCS, SCADA).
Conduct routine maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems to prevent downtime.
Troubleshoot and repair faults in electrical systems, such as motors and drives.
Perform adjustments, recalibrations, and replacements of malfunctioning instruments.
Test, calibrate, and validate instruments for accuracy.
Use diagnostic tools to monitor system performance and maintain logs.
Identify hazards and ensure a safe work environment per OSHA.
Assist with creation and updating SOPs.
Other duties as assigned.
