Job summary

Baisch Engineering, Inc. in Appleton, Wisconsin is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering Summer Intern. You will work with design engineers on industrial projects, analyze systems, and contribute to BIM and drawing sets.

This paid internship offers hands-on learning with SKM, EasyPower and ETAP, plus Revit/AutoCAD/Navisworks, and collaboration across disciplines while building knowledge of NEC/OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation & Controls.
• Interest in arc flash analysis, DCS/PLC/HMI programming.
• Willingness to learn BIM protocols and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Work with design engineers to analyze systems using software packages for arc flash analysis.
• Assist in developing construction drawing sets using Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks on industrial projects.
• Learn BIM workflows to keep projects on the cutting edge of technology.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate projects across disciplines.
• Develop understanding of building codes (NEC) and OSHA requirements for power distribution and controls.

Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer - Summer Intern

If so, we are looking for driven, goal-oriented people like you to join our team as an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering Summer Intern. Here's what you will need to do:

• Work alongside design engineers to analyze systems using software packages such as SKM, EasyPower, or ETAP for arc flash analysis, or programming software for DCS, PLC, and HMI
• Assist in the development of construction drawing sets utilizing Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks as part of our team on awide rangeof industrial projects from brand-new, state-of-the-art facilities to small system upgrades and everything in between
• Desire to learn and implement Building Information Modeling (BIM) protocols that keep us on the leading edge of technology
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to generate seamlessly coordinated projects that make our clients' projects a huge success
• Develop an understanding of building codes, NEC, and OSHA requirements for building design, power distribution, or process controls supporting large heavy industrial and pulp and paper industries

The paid summer internship role is an in-person position at our Appleton, Wisconsin office.
