Job summary

Brightpath Associates LLC is seeking a Site Electrical Engineer in Decatur, AL to support Maintenance and design for safe, efficient plant operations. You will maintain electrical diagrams, label arc flashes, and ensure NFPA 70E compliance while guiding electricians and other staff.

Key duties include PM/PdM planning, DC/AC drives, UPS and low-voltage systems, and collaboration with I&E techs. Prior chemical plant PSM experience is a plus; strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 2 years with PLCs, HMIs, AC/DC drives and distribution equipment.
• Experience in Facility Engineering and RCFA/FMEA/Thermography preferred.
• Chemical manufacturing background with PSM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Site Electrical Engineer supporting Maintenance.
• Maintain plant electrical diagrams and arc flash labeling.
• Act as AHJ for NFPA 70E compliance and specify PM/PdM activities.
• Apply knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, DCS, UPS and low-voltage systems.
• Provide direction to electricians and mechanics, and train staff as needed.
• Participate in PSSR and readiness activities for safe start-up.
• Assist in specifying on-site maintenance capabilities and tooling.
• Drive improvements from RCFA findings and equipment data trends.
