Job summary

Nippon Dynawave Packaging Company in Longview, Washington, is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Planner to develop detailed maintenance plans and schedules that ensure safe, reliable operation of electrical and instrumentation assets. Salary Range: $99,722.00 to $149,525.00.

The role coordinates maintenance work, prepares labor estimates, maintains preventive/predictive programs, and ensures SAP work orders are properly scoped and scheduled.

Qualifications

• Trades qualifications in Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance or equivalent industrial experience.
• Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, and OSHA regulations.
• Experience with power distribution, DCS, PLCs, motor controls, and field electrical equipment.
• Maintenance management systems experience; SAP preferred; MS Office tooling.
• Ability to read drawings and develop labor/material estimates and work plans.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and plan electrical and instrumentation maintenance work for reliability, safety, and financial constraints.
• Develop detailed work packages with labor estimates, materials, tools, permits, and procedures.
• Maintain and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Ensure work orders are properly scoped, estimated, prioritized, and scheduled in SAP.
• Develop and maintain weekly maintenance schedules and readiness plans.
• Coordinate procurement, staging, and availability of materials and equipment.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Stores, Purchasing, and Maintenance staff.
• Support outage planning, shutdown coordination, and major maintenance scheduling.
• Create job plans and standardized procedures to improve efficiency.
• Monitor backlog health and identify opportunities to improve processes.
• Track planning and scheduling performance metrics and reports.
• Participate in reliability improvement and continuous improvement activities.
• Support contractor planning and scope development.
• Review completed work and capture lessons learned for future planning.

The E&I Maintenance Planner develops detailed maintenance plans and schedules that support safe, efficient, and reliable operation of electrical and instrumentation assets. Salary Range: $99,722.00 to $149,525.00.

Key Functions

• Coordinate and plan electrical and instrumentation maintenance work to ensure maximum equipment reliability while considering safety, financial constraints, labor resources, material lead times, and specialized equipment requirements.
• Develop detailed work packages that include labor estimates, materials, tools, drawings, permits, procedures, safety requirements, and contractor needs.
• Maintain and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Ensure maintenance work orders are properly scoped, estimated, prioritized, and scheduled within SAP.
• Develop and maintain weekly maintenance schedules and readiness plans.
• Coordinate procurement, staging, and availability of materials and equipment required for planned work.
• Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Stores, Purchasing, and Maintenance personnel to ensure work is ready for execution.
• Support outage planning, shutdown coordination, and major maintenance project scheduling.
• Create job plans and standardized procedures to improve maintenance efficiency and consistency.
• Monitor backlog health and identify opportunities to improve work-management processes.
• Track planning and scheduling performance metrics and prepare associated reports.
• Participate in reliability improvement and continuous improvement activities.
• Support contractor planning, scope development, and coordination efforts.
• Review completed work and capture lessons learned to improve future planning accuracy.

Qualifications

• Trades qualifications in Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance, an Electrical Engineering degree, or equivalent industrial experience.
• Working knowledge of electrical safety procedures, NEC, NFPA 70E, and OSHA regulations.
• Working knowledge of power distribution systems, DCS systems, PLCs, motor controls, drives, and field electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Computer skills necessary to utilize maintenance management systems; SAP experience is preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret drawings, prepare labor and material estimates, and develop work plans.
• Strong planning, scheduling, organizational, and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively coordinate activities among various trades and departments.
• Ability to track and measure maintenance planning and scheduling performance.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to support reliability improvement initiatives through effective work planning and execution readiness.
• Paper, pulp, manufacturing, or other process industry experience is highly desirable.
