Job summary

Didion, Inc. in Cambria, WI, is seeking an Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (EIC) Technician to maintain and improve electrical, instrumentation, and control systems across our manufacturing operations.

The role works with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to ensure equipment operates safely and reliably. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with overtime as needed and opportunities to grow technical skills through hands-on upgrades, automation projects, and continuous

Qualifications

  • Technical degree or equivalent in Industrial Electrical Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70E and electrical safety practices
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control system issues
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant equipment
  • Install, maintain, and calibrate instrumentation and controls
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and new installations
  • Support plant automation and control systems
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and performance
  • Help identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities

Cambria, WI | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM OR 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM

As an Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (EIC) Technician, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving the electrical, instrumentation, and control systems that support our manufacturing operations. Working alongside skilled maintenance, engineering, and operations teams, you'll help ensure our equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently.

What You'll Do
  • Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control system issues

What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Technical degree, certificate, or equivalent experience in Industrial Electrical Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field
  • Understanding of NFPA 70E and electrical safety practices
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance, electrical, or controls experience
  • Experience with instrumentation systems and calibration
  • Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, and industrial automation systems
  • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Knowledge of Ethernet, DeviceNet, and ControlNet networks
  • Understanding of state and local electrical codes
  • Experience designing, installing, and troubleshooting industrial electrical systems ranging from 24VDC controls to 480V motor circuits
