Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical/tradeschool.
• 5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with cascaded drive systems, ladder logic, AB PLCs, and related instrumentation.
• Ability to interpret complex technical instructions.

Responsibilities

• Follows company methods and safety rules to ensure safe, quality operations.
• Selects, installs, calibrates, and checks sensing and recording instrumentation and circuitry.
• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on test apparatus and equipment.
• Installing and coordinating outside contractors for installation/repair.
• Uses computerized equipment to perform testing and generate graphs.

Position Title: Electrical & Instrument Technician

Location: Middletown, DE

SHIFT: The schedule has rotating shifts: 2nd 6:00pm-6:00am. Includes weekends.

Description:

The Middletown, DE location is seeking a Electrical & Instrument Technician to join its Filtration team. The Electrical & Instrument Technician devises, selects, sets up, and operates electronic instrumentation and related electromechanical or electrohydraulic apparatus used for operational and environmental testing of mechanical, structural, or electrical equipment, and translates test data for engineering personnel. It reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Follows all company established methods, policies, rules, practices, and procedures to ensure employee safety, product quality and efficient operations.
• Selects, installs, calibrates,and checkssensing, telemetering, and recording instrumentation and circuitry, and develops specifications for nonstandard apparatus according to engineering data, characteristics of equipment under test, and capabilities of procurable test apparatus.
• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance of test apparatus and peripheral equipment.
• Installs ordirectsoutsidecontractors in installation and/or repair, upkeepoftest apparatus.
• Uses computerized equipment and software to perform testing functions and produce graphs.

Qualifications:

Required

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-yearcollege or technical/tradeschool; 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with cascaded drive systems, ladder logic, AB PLCs, AB RS View 32, DC Drive systems, AC Vectored Drive Systems, Programming
