Brooklyn SolarWorks is seeking an Electrical Installer to join our Install team. This role involves installing electrical equipment, conduit and wiring on solar projects across NYC. You’ll work with a small crew and contribute to safe, high-quality installations.

Requirements include a NYS driver's license, OSHA-10/ SST, 2+ years construction experience, and physical ability to lift heavy objects. This is a field-based, full-time position with travel about 90% of the time.

Competenze

• Valid NYS Driver’s license required.
• 40-hour SST (OSHA) certification required.
• At least 2 years of construction experience.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs or more.
• Ability to stand or walk long periods.
• Conduit bending experience.
• Familiarity with power tools: Drill, Angle Grinder, Impact Driver, Reciprocating Saw, Hammer Drill, Heat Gun.
• Reliable with good attendance and punctuality.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Comfortable on ladders and roofs.
• Comfortable working in electrical panels.

Location: NYC Metro Area (Field-Based — travels to job sites across the boroughs)

Hours: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (hours may vary based on business needs)

Reports To: ElectricalInstallation Manager

About the Position

Brooklyn SolarWorks is looking for a skilled Electrical Installer to join our Install team. We want someone who knows their way around electrical systems and enjoys problem solving.

As an Electrical Installer, you will be working with a small team to complete installation of electrical equipment, conduit and wiring, and generally contribute to the completion of solar project installations.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain compliance with and enforce all OSHA safety rules and protocols for the company.
• Promote job site safety, ensure safe work practices, and rectify job site hazard.
• Perform work to Brooklyn SolarWorks standards.
• Responsible for being familiar with electrical aspects of Brooklyn SolarWorks systems.
• Carry out additional duties as required by the Manager.
• Communicate with the crew lead and rest of the team on the day's activities, progress and success.

Required qualifications:

• Valid NYS Driver’s license and clean driving record.
• 40-hr SST required.
• At least 2 years of construction experience.
• Physically able to lift up to 50lbs or more.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods at a time required.
• Conduit bending.
• Familiarity with power tools (Drill, Angle Grinder, Impact Driver, Reciprocating Saw (Sawzall), Hammer Drill, and Heat Gun).
• Demonstrated reliability with strong attendance and punctuality.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Comfortable working on ladders and on roofs.
• Comfortable working in electrical panels.
• Strong time management skills.
• Good customer relation skills.

Additional Details

• Travel: 90%

Compensation:

• $23-$27/per hour DOE
