Job summary

Allied Reliability seeks a Projects Electrical Inspector in Houston, TX to provide field QA/QC for electrical construction, ensuring safety, conformance to drawings, and readiness for commissioning.

You will verify contractor work, witness tests, raise NCRs, and support punch-list closure while coordinating with Construction, QA/QC, Commissioning, and Operations to deliver right-first-time assets.

Qualifications

• Requires technical diploma/degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years' experience inspecting electrical works on industrial, energy, or large infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction practices, testing methods, and drawings/specifications.
• Familiarity with QA/QC systems (ITPs, NCRs, punch management) and commissioning readiness.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and hold-point inspections for cables, terminations, earthing/bonding, trays, lighting, motors, switchgear, MCCs, and packaged equipment.
• Verify materials and installation methods match specifications and drawings (IFC, wiring diagrams, SLDs).
• Witness and review test results and ensure records are complete.
• Ensure hazardous area requirements are met and documentation is accurate.
• Raise NCRs/quality observations and track corrective actions to closure.
• Support pre-commissioning/commissioning activities and turnover dossiers.
