Job summary

The City of Warren is seeking an Electrical Inspector to perform difficult and skilled inspection of electrical installations to assure compliance with the City’s ordinances.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, four years of electrical experience, and a Michigan Electrical Master’s license; ICC Residential/Commercial certifications must be earned within six months. A valid MI driver’s license is also required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or official transcripts required with application.
• Four years of experience in installation of electrical systems.
• Must possess and maintain Electrical Master’s license.
• License required with application.
• State of Michigan Electrical Inspector registration per act 407 of 2016.
• Must become ICC Residential and Commercial Inspector within six months of hire.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license.
• Driving record must meet insurability standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform difficult and skilled inspection of electrical installations to ensure compliance with city ordinances.
• Ensure all inspections meet safety and regulatory requirements.

Job description

Pay Rate: $74,723/year - $85,530/year (after 5 years)

The City of Warren is accepting applications for the position of Electrical Inspector. This position performs difficult and skilled inspection of electrical installation to assure compliance with the City’s ordinances.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited high school or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Diploma or official, sealed transcripts REQUIRED with application
• Four (4) years’ experience in the installation of electrical systems.
• Must possess and maintain an Electrical Master’s license.
• License REQUIRED with application
• Possess an Electrical Inspector’s registration issued by the State of Michigan in compliance with Skilled Trades Registration Act 407 of 2016.
• Must become ICC certified in Residential Electrical Inspector and Commercial Electrical Inspector within six months of hire.
• Possession of a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Michigan.
• Driving record must meet city’s standards for insurability.

Pay rate: $74,723/year – $85,530/year (after 5 years)
