Job summary

HDR is seeking an Electrical / I&C Engineering Intern to join our Power Generation and Renewables initiatives. You will work under a Project Engineer or Manager, assisting with design packages, basic calculations, and field reviews while gaining exposure to power systems engineering.

The internship emphasizes collaboration within an employee-owned culture and opportunities to learn a broad set of engineering tools and software in a global context.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA.
• Experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD, MicroStation, ETAP, SKM, etc.) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in preparing design packages and performing simple calculations.
• Attend internal meetings and participate in field reviews.
• Follow directions from a Project Engineer/Leader/Project Manager.
• Contribute to Power Generation and Renewables engineering tasks as assigned.
