Job summary

tesa seeks a Customer Application Engineer - Electrical Systems (Wire Harnessing) in Novi, MI, to support automotive wire harness applications with technical consulting, application testing, and implementation support from the Customer Solution Center (CSC). The role involves split time between Sparta and Novi, about 2–3 days weekly.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Engineering or Science required or equivalent.
• 3–5 years in wire harness manufacturing or automotive electrical systems preferred.
• Strong hands-on mindset with test planning and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical consulting to customers and Sales for wire harness applications and tape selection.
• Plan and execute application testing (adhesion, temp/humidity aging, abrasion/noise).
• Support customer trials and line implementations: define success criteria, run trials, document results, and deliver recommendations.
• Troubleshoot quality/process issues at customer sites using root-cause analysis.
• Drive co-development projects with key customers and internal teams (Sales, Product Development, Operations, Quality).
• Deliver trainings and contribute to best-practice standards and documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
