Job summary

Jobot in Moberly, MO is seeking a dedicated Electrical Hardware Engineer to join our team on-site. The role focuses ~85% on hardware design, leading the development and layout of electronic control and monitoring circuitry, and validating boards you create. On-site work five days a week.

You will work with mechatronics products, ensuring designs meet performance and quality standards, with minimal travel for customer interactions and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of related engineering experience in electronic hardware design.
• Proficiency in PCB schematic capture and PCB layout is essential.
• Strong understanding of EMC/EMI and functional safety is required.
• Experience in automotive or commercial vehicle industry and embedded C/C++ programming is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Hardware Design: Lead electrical schematic capture and PCB design/layout, utilizing Altium as our primary design tool.
• Testing & Validation: Hands-on testing, verification, and troubleshooting of your designs.
• Regulatory Compliance: Apply a strong understanding of EMC/EMI and functional safety principles throughout the design process to ensure reliability and industry compliance.
• Product Development: Support the development of mechatronics products and contribute to cross-functional team efforts to migrate designs into successful production.
• Collaboration: Work directly with customers as needed to ensure designs meet specified performance needs (travel requirements for this are very minimal).
