Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced Electrical Hardware Engineer to advance robotics, automation, and material handling systems for operations in Washington. You will own hardware development from requirements through validation and field support, delivering safe, reliable systems at scale.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in electrical engineering with 3+ years of hardware development experience, ECAD proficiency (EPLAN/AutoCAD/ SolidWorks Electrical), and hands-on testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience developing electrical hardware for automation, robotics, or similar systems.
• ECAD experience with EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or SolidWorks Electrical.
• Experience with 3-phase, single-phase, and DC power distribution.
• Hands-on experience building, testing, and troubleshooting industrial electrical hardware.
• Experience with industrial electrical standards such as UL 508A, NFPA 79, NEC, IEC 60204-1, or IEC 81346.
• Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Define hardware requirements and specifications.
• Develop modular, connectorized electrical hardware for power distribution and field devices.
• Select, specify, and qualify industrial components and vendor standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners on manufacturability and cost.
