Job summary

IPS-Integrated Project Services in Blue Bell, PA, seeks an experienced Electrical Engineering Group Lead to guide a growing team of engineers and designers on life sciences facilities. You will oversee the full design process, mentor staff, and collaborate with a Project Manager to define scope, budget, and staffing.

NEC/NFPA knowledge and strong client communication are essential. Responsibilities include forecasting work, maintaining design quality, and coordinating with regional design

Qualifications

• Feasibility and conceptual design through final commissioning.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Experience with CAD and electrical design software.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 72, IBC.
• Ability to mentor others.
• Knowledge of local codes and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of electrical engineers and designers.
• Oversee design process or act as technical expert.
• Assess project requirements, define scope, budget, staffing.
• Forecast 12-16 weeks of work for leads on projects.
• Recruit and retain talent and develop staffing plans.
• Coordinate with PM and clients to determine scope and staffing.
• Prepare engineering studies and schematic designs for new systems.
• Create specialized drawings such as electrical riser diagrams.
• Review budgets, payment applications, and construction costs.
• Build and maintain client relationships.
