Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Chandler, AZ seeks an Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) technician to join our team. You will perform analysis, design, and test of system-level electrical concepts for launch vehicle support equipment.

Responsibilities include applying standards, collaborating with senior engineers, and ensuring safe operations in secure environments while supporting internal/external customers and advancing mission success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 6 years of additional education and/or related experience.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Active Secret Clearance is required.
• DoD Active Secret Clearance is preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Proficient knowledge of electrical engineering or electronics principles.
• Design, Test, or Integration experience with EGSE or similar equipment.
• Experience with processes applicable to operating test equipment in secure environments.

Responsibilities

• Broad understanding and application of company electrical engineering technical standards.
• With guidance, studies basic design concepts and criteria for more complex problems.
• Applies electrical engineering principles to adapt or improve upon heritage features from previous successful designs of a similar nature.
• Actively and effectively participates and contributes in a positive manner while supporting team decisions and goals.
• Makes an extra effort to provide quality internal and external customer service.
• Constantly seeks new sources of information and provides information necessary to meet customer needs.
• Disciplined with escalation when required.
• Evaluate, with supervision, uncertainty and risks associated with requirements and designs.
• Patriciate in trade studies for both internal projects and procured equipment.
• Act with safety as your number one priority through every aspect of the role.
• Complete day-to-day activities with broad oversight of senior engineers.
