Job summary

Protouch Staffing seeks an experienced construction supervisor to monitor superintendents, ensure adherence to construction documents, budget, and schedule on NY projects. You will apply Short Interval Construction oversight, build strong GC relationships, and provide technical interpretation of drawings and methods.

The role requires eight years in construction management, knowledge of NEC, and leadership with safety focus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic mathematical operations to calculate labor, materials, and/or cost estimates.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English at a 12th-grade level.
• Minimum of eight years of construction management and/or craft supervision experience.

• Monitor the work of superintendents to ensure projects are constructed according to construction documents, budget, and schedule.
• Ensure the Short Interval Construction schedule is properly utilized to control job costs.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with general contractors.
• Provide technical assistance, including interpretation of drawings and recommendations for construction methods and equipment.
• Assist Project Managers in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, and standards.
• Ensure on-site personnel comply with project procedures and work rules.
• Document violations, notify Project Management, and recommend or implement corrective actions.
• Maintain familiarity with plans, specifications, scope, and contracts.
• Attend job scheduling and coordination meetings to identify potential problems.

• Direct or implement solutions to ensure projects are constructed within budget.
• Support superintendents with current and accurate project information.
• Assist superintendents in establishing action plans to maximize the quantity and quality of work performed.
• Track materials that are on-site, on order, or back-ordered and develop action plans for critical backordered items.
• Ensure job site housekeeping complies with contract requirements.
• Monitor discipline construction productivity, progress, and cost and report to the Supervisor.
• Apply knowledge of National Electrical Codes.
• Assist with electrical system installation, troubleshooting, and repair as needed.
• Ensure installations meet quality and electrical code standards.
• Monitor and resolve matters relating to work procedures, complaints, damages, accidents, and delays.
• Confer with superintendents, technical personnel, other departments, and contractors to resolve problems and coordinate activities.
• Ensure company safety measures and regulations are followed and enforce the use of required safety equipment.
• Participate in safety and incident investigations and reviews.
• Participate in the review and processing of construction contracts with general contractors, with emphasis on work scope.
• Participate in project turnover, startup, and percent-complete meetings.
• Participate in preparation of project closeout packages and turnover with general contractors.
• Participate in Tri-City close-out meetings.
• Train employees, plan and assign work, direct work activities, appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, address complaints, and resolve problems.

• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction, including technology, equipment, methods, negotiations, engineering, cost control, schedules, and safety.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Strong safety background.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Valid Florida Driver's License in good standing.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Florida Journeyman or Master Electrician License.
• Bilingual.
• Four-year Engineering Degree.
• Intermediate experience with AccuBid, Bluebeam, Autodesk, Raken, and PlanGrid.
• OSHA 30.
