Job summary

Job description

• Assist the Project Manager in establishing the project electrical budget, expediting change orders, managing project changes, and maintaining the construction schedule.
• Review project documents, drawings, wiring diagrams, instructional manuals, specifications, and blueprints to schedule work activities and field installations.
• Participate in developing and managing three- and six-week look-ahead schedules.
• Plan, organize, and direct production of contracted scope of work.
• Coordinate production and attend meetings with other trades and the general contractor to identify and resolve conflicts.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders.
• Oversee safe installations, alterations, additions, and repairs of electrical systems and associated materials and equipment.
• Inspect installations to ensure compliance with quality and electrical code standards.
• Lay out project work and ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available to meet the construction schedule.
• Complete material requests, timesheets, safety reports, and incident reports.
• Monitor budgets and take necessary actions to maintain financial targets and maximize profits.

• Provide the workforce with current and accurate information from Safety, HR, Purchasing, Accounting, and other company representatives.
• Estimate material and worker requirements to complete jobs.
• Assist with electrical system installation, troubleshooting, and repair as needed.
• Ensure company, department, and technical policies, procedures, and standards are followed.

Qualifications

• Skilled electrician with at least two (2) years of experience managing crews and running projects, and at least 10 years of experience in the electrical trade.
• Knowledge of basic mathematical operations and calculations to calculate labor, materials, and/or cost estimates for projects and work orders.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget.
• In-depth knowledge of NEC, local building codes, industry standards, and job site safety requirements.
• Experience with material and labor costs.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Strong safety background.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to effectively read, write, and communicate in the English language at a 12th-grade level.
• Valid Florida Driver's License in good standing.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual.
• Journeyman Electrical License.
• Bluebeam experience.
• OSHA 30.
