Job summary

Slifco Electric is seeking a General Foreman to lead field operations on a data center project in the St. Louis area. You will supervise crews, plan manpower and materials, and ensure work complies with NEC codes and safety standards.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in a General Foreman role within industrial electrical construction, union experience, and a Journeyman Inside Wireman ticket. OSHA 30 is required, with additional certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a General Foreman (or similar leadership role).
• Industrial electrical construction experience (data center preferred).
• IBEW Journeyman Inside Wireman ticket (required).
• Strong leadership experience in a union environment.
• Deep knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and installation methods.
• Ability to read blueprints and manage large field teams.
• OSHA 30 (required).
• NFPA 70E, Fall Protection, Confined Space, CPR/First Aid (preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft 365, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

Physical Demands

• Must be willing and able to work a 6-10’s schedule for the duration of the project.
• Must be willing and able to pass a 10-panel rapid drug screen.
• Lift 50 lbs from ground and pull 50 lbs of force.
• Perform ladder climbing, conduit installation, and wire pulling.
• Maintain a standing position for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions such as grasping or manipulating wires.
• Work off of ladders, man lifts or reach booms.
• A variety of weather conditions including cold, snow, rain, heat, etc.
• High noise levels.
