EGC Construction, a subsidiary of Messer Construction Co., is currently seeking an Electrical Foreman to join the team.

EGC employs more than 120 skilled craft workers focusing on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. We offer general, commercial, and industrial construction, including electrical work, millwrights, pipe fitters, and structural steel detailers.

What You Will Do

• Mentor and help grow craft workers
• Manage contract administration (subcontract/field management meetings for communication)
• Review, approve, and negotiate change orders
• Maintain daily activity records
• Oversee and approve monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections
• Read and interpret single line diagrams, elementary drawings, and P&ID’s
• Install raceways: Cable tray, wire way, and Rigid conduit
• Instrumentation and control wiring and/or tubing
• C1D1 and intrinsically safe wiring methods
• Perform planned maintenance, inspection, and installation on process and production equipment
• Follow job site safety regulations and maintain a safe, clean work area. Identify safety hazards and protect self and others

What You Will Bring

• 8+ years of commercial and/or industrial construction experience (3+ years in a foreman/leadership role)
• OSHA 10/30 Certification; if uncertified, must be obtained prior to start (training and certification paid by EGC)
• Self-starter, highly motivated, able to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to quickly learn various processes, procedures, and software
• Excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reliable transportation and good communication skills
• Willing to work within a 50-mile radius; willingness to travel to other states is a plus

Abilities

• All auditory, speaking, and communication capabilities
• Physical requirements: standing, walking, bending, twisting, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs, seeing, and reading
