Job summary

Cianbro is seeking a Safety-minded supervisor to lead electrical and instrumentation activities on our heavy industrial project sites in Maine. This role focuses on planning, coordination, and daily oversight to meet project goals and standards.

The ideal candidate has extensive electrical/instrumentation knowledge, 5+ years of supervisory experience, and a state license; you will manage crews, report progress, and ensure safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Understand and align with the project schedule and budget.
• Collaborate daily with project supervision to communicate goals and quality specifications of work.
• Plan means and methods.
• Record and report crew work hours and quantities installed; monitor productivity.
• Analyze production results and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Record costs for rework and capture learnings.
• Forecast equipment, materials, or workforce needs as required; ensure resources are available when needed.
• Use Activity Planning to organize and sign off on plans.
• Understand the project cost code structure related to your work activities.

Job description

Safely lead the daily activities in the planning and supervision of electrical and instrumentation work consistent with the project goals and the expected standards established by Cianbro and our customers. The wage range for this position is $42 to $48 per hour. Compensation will be determined based on knowledge and experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Understand and work in accordance with the overall project schedule and budget.
• Work together with project supervision on a daily basis to communicate production goals and quality specifications of work, discuss issues that have surfaced (around people, means and methods, material or equipment use, etc. extra or out of scope work), and ideas to help the team achieve project goals.
• Participate in planning means and methods.
• Accurately record and report crew work hours and quantities installed. Monitor and manage crew productivity. Ensure ongoing efforts are made to improve productivity.
• Analyze production results and establish appropriate corrective actions if required.
• When rework is required, help the team learn from any mistakes and accurately record costs.
• Forecast equipment, materials, or workforce needs as required; Help ensure all the resources for crew’s activities are available when needed.
• Seeks solutions to special requests or problems with their work in a timely and professional manner.
• Use Activity Planning to effectively plan, organize and communicate specific details of work; sign off on all plans.
• Understand the project cost code structure related to your work activities.
