Job summary

Wachter, Inc. is seeking a Traveling Foreman Electrician to lead heavy commercial and industrial projects on-site. You will supervise a crew of 4+ electricians and apprentices, stay hands-on with complex installations, and meet tight deadlines across sites nationwide.

The role requires a Journeyman Electrician license, strong leadership, and the ability to travel up to 60 hours per week. Expect diverse tasks from conduit runs to PLC and control systems work.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician license required.
• Strong leadership and team coordination for 4+ person crews.
• Industrial/manufacturing electrical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead heavy commercial projects on industrial sites, supervising a crew of 4+ electricians and apprentices.
• Perform varied electrical tasks from small pipe/wire runs to generator and UPS installations.
• Read blueprints, one-lines and schematics; interpret complex diagrams.
• Read and execute wiring and conduit layouts; travel to multiple sites.

Job description

Wachter is seeking a motivated, solution-oriented Traveling 100% Foreman Electrician for heavy commercial and industrial projects. You will act as the Foreman on-site, leading a team (typically 2 Licensed Electricians and 2 Apprentices) to deliver high-quality installations under tight deadlines. This is a long-term opportunity for a pro who can lead a crew while staying hands-on with complex electrical systems.

What You'll Do:

• Lead \"heavy commercial\" projects on industrial sites, managing teams of 4+ Electricians/Apprentices


• Perform diverse electrical tasks, from small pipe/wire to large-scale Generator and UPS installs


• Read and interpret blueprints, one-lines, and schematics.


• Run/bend conduit and pull/terminate wire in varied environments.


• Operate scissor, boom, and bucket lifts as needed


• Troubleshoot industrial controls, automation and PLCs.

What We Are Looking For:

• Licensing: Valid Journeyman Electrician License is required.


• Experience: Strong background in Industrial/Manufacturing systems (24v DC to 480v)


• Leadership: Proven ability to run larger projects and hit \"time crunch\" deadlines


• Safety: OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a major plus


• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work independently or as a team.


• Flexibility: Must be willing to work up to 60 hours per week and travel nationwide.
