Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to plan, coordinate, and supervise commercial electrical installations under project management.

This Working Foreman role leads journeymen and apprentices while ensuring NEC standards, productivity goals, and project deadlines. Flexibility for nights and travel to retail construction projects is required.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of experience as a commercial electrical journeyman with at least two years in foreman roles.
• California Journeyman Electrician certification is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to pass pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
• Strong English literacy to communicate with management and teams.
• Availability for night shifts and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise journeymen and apprentices on commercial electrical projects.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics or plans and layout work for crew.
• Lead toolbox talks and training for apprentices and journeymen.
• Install commercial electrical equipment, fixtures, conduit, raceway and cable trays.
• Coordinate with project management and safety teams; ensure NEC compliance and deadlines.

Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted regional provider of skilled trade services supporting commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and electrical services for our clients. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to plan, coordinate, and supervise commercial electrical installations under the direction of project management.

This is a Working Foreman role responsible for leading journeymen and apprentices while ensuring work meets NEC standards, productivity goals, and project deadlines. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman with a strong background in retail electrical construction. Candidates may be either licensed or unlicensed; a current California Journeyman Electrician certification is preferred but not required. This position requires schedule flexibility, including overnight shifts and travel assignments.

Scope of work

• Supervise the commercial production of electrical journeyman and apprentices
• Interpret blueprints, schematics or plans and layout work for journeyman and apprentices
• Perform tool-box talks and training to electrical apprentices and/or journeyman
• Install commercial electrical equipment and fixtures
• Install various types of conduit, raceway and cable tray systems
• Experience with refrigeration motor control, Ansul Systems and EMS is preferred
• Knowledge of retail new construction and/or retail tenant improvement projects is desired
• Troubleshoot motor control systems
• May be asked to work in confined spaces
• Perform work from ladders, man lifts and/or during inclement weather
• Communicate with project managers and safety teams regarding jobsite progress
• Demonstrate and enforce quality electrical journeyman installation and jobsite safety

Requirements

• Six or more years of experience as a commercial electrical journeyman with a minimum of two years of foreman experience preferably from retail construction projects
• Current California Journeyman Electrician certification is preferred but not required
• Valid driver license with the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and a motor vehicle background check
• Strong English literacy skills are required to effectively communicate with management via email, phone
• Must be available to work nights or travel as needed
