Job summary

Rosendin is hiring a Foreman in Houston to oversee electrical installations on high-profile projects. You will monitor productivity, safety, quality, and scheduling while coordinating with general contractors and customers to achieve on-time completion.

The role requires strong leadership and adherence to Rosendin standards. The ideal candidate has a state electrical license and 5+ years of electrical experience, including foreman or supervisory experience.

Your Next Opportunity

The Foreman is responsible for monitoring installations and ensuring work is performed according to Rosendin standards and project specifications. Work cooperatively with the general contractor and/or customer in managing the project, project schedule and employees. Responsible for maintaining productivity, safety, quality control, labor cost, scheduling, movement of manpower, procurement of materials and any other activities impacting the successful completion of the project.

What You’ll Do
  • Achieve Rosendin productivity objectives by effectively managing and assigning tasks to crew members, while maintaining an accurate labor tracking log.
  • Establish project goals and monitor success in reaching those objectives on an ongoing basis.
  • Manage purchase orders and ensure ordered materials are received while adhering to bulk buy material procedures.
  • Adhere to project contract document changes and Rosendin change order notice‑to‑proceed policies.
  • Fully utilize a prefabrication facility and company‑wide installation methods and policies.
  • Ensure the proper safety equipment, materials and tools are onsite to perform required work.
  • Provide General Foreman with sufficient notice of any crew changes.
  • Utilize a proactive approach to anticipate and resolve potential issues.
  • Ensure crew members start and finish work shift on time; maintain proper meal/break times per local labor laws and regulations.
  • Conduct effective performance evaluations of crew members.
  • Maintain complete and accurate “as‑builts” as per Rosendin procedures and project requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals including project owners, architects, general contractors, management, crew members, etc.
  • Ensure all work performed meets NEC, federal, state, county, local codes and contract documents.
  • Adhere to all Rosendin, state and federal safety policies and procedures.
What You Bring To Us

Physical Demands
  • Perform ladder climbing, wire pulling and conduit pulling.
  • Walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull and reach overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
  • Maintain a standing position for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions such as grasping or manipulating wires.
  • Work off of ladders, man lifts or reach booms.
  • Lift 50 lbs. from ground and pull 50 lbs. of force.
  • Must have use of feet, legs, hands and arms to climb and/or balance on scaffolding or ladders.
  • Must have use of arms, hands and fingers to reach, handle and feel cable, wires, tools and other equipment.
  • Must be able to work off of ladders, man lifts, or reach booms without fear of heights.
  • Must be able to see and hear, or have corrected vision, both close and distant, and hearing.
  • Must be able to distinguish color‑coded wires.
  • Must be able to adjust vision focus and use peripheral vision and depth perception.
Working Environment
  • A variety of weather conditions including cold, snow, rain, heat, etc.
  • High noise levels.
  • Work is sometimes noisy, cramped, and dirty.
  • Hazards include risk of electrical shock and other work‑site accidents.
  • 40‑hour workweek is normal; however if offered, working overtime may be included; electricians may work nights or weekends.
