IES Residential is seeking an Electrical Foreman to supervise wiring, fixtures, and control equipment in Dayton, OH. The role focuses on coordinating craft workers, interpreting specifications and NEC guidelines, and maintaining safety standards on multi-family projects.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a similar foreman role, familiarity with NEC, and the ability to read electrical drawings. A valid driver’s license and background checks are required.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years’ experience as an Electrical Foreman in Multi-Family area.
  • Knowledge of the current National Electric Code.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret construction electrical drawings.
  • Must pass safety training, background check and drug testing requirements.
  • License required: Yes.

  • Oversees projects in multi-family homes.
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of craft workers per engineer specs and NEC.
  • Interprets blueprints and job orders as needed for supervision area.
  • Maintains relationships with subcontractors, division managers, and other trades.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems.
  • Ensures safety rules and procedures are followed.

General Job Description
KEP a division of IES Residential is currently seeking an Electrical Foreman in the Dayton, OH area. The Electrical Foreman plays a pivotal role in the growth and development of the company. The successful foreman supervises and coordinates the activities of craft workers engaged in the layout, installation, and repair of wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversees projects in multi-family homes
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of assigned craft workers in accordance with engineer specifications and the National Electric Code
  • Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed for area of supervision
  • Maintains working relationships with subcontractors, division managers, and other skilled trades
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems
  • Maintains knowledge of and enforces company safety rules and procedures
  • Quickly corrects any potential hazard or promptly reports the hazard to the responsible person
  • Assesses material, equipment, and labor needed to complete assigned tasks and ensures all items required are ordered and at the job site in compliance with scheduled requirements
  • Communicates with others, including taking direction from a supervisor and giving direction in a way that is understood

Minimum Years of Experience: 4-6
