A leading company is seeking an Electrical Finish for their second shift position, responsible for external transformer control wiring. Candidates must have a High School diploma or GED, and will receive on-the-job training. The role requires moderate physical exertion and use of various hand tools and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
SECOND SHIFT - ELECTRICAL FINISH
POSITION SUMMARY: Electrical finish is responsible for all external transformer control wiring. Installing conduit, tubing, control cabinets, nitrogen regulators, grounding cables, terminal boards, and other electrical devices on transformers. Re-shoot studs if required. Work from wiring diagrams and schematics to assemble parts and wiring into control cabinets. Keep work area safe, neat, and clean.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT: Forklifts, cranes, crimpers, strippers, pipe benders, threading machines, ladders, manlifts, hand tools (powered and manual), and stud welders.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of this job.
Physical demands: While performing duties, employees are occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach, climb ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, or hear. Employees must occasionally lift/move up to 60 pounds. Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Work environment: Employees are exposed to weather conditions at the time. This is a Second (2nd) Shift Position.
EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED.
TRAINING: On-the-job training.
PHYSICAL EFFORTS AND SKILLS: Moderate physical exertion.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Employees must wear ANSI-approved steel toe safety shoes and safety glasses. Additional PPE as required.
