Job summary

ABM US is seeking a Field Service Technician to travel to client sites for inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and start-up of electrical systems. You will lead and mentor Level I and II Trainees and Assistants, supporting the sales team with technical input.

You will perform acceptance and maintenance testing on switchgear, relays, transformers, cables, and MCCs, test relays, and document results in field service reports.

Qualifications

• Field service experience in electrical systems.
• Ability to perform testing and data analysis.
• Willingness to travel to client sites.
• Familiarity with safety standards such as NETA and NFPA70E.

Responsibilities

• Travel to client sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and start-up electrical systems.
• Lead and mentor Level I and II Trainees and Assistants in technical tasks.
• Assign work, review performance, and ensure consistent testing procedures.
• Perform acceptance and maintenance testing for switchgear, relays, transformers, cables, and MCCs.
• Test and calibrate relays (solid-state and electromechanical) including SEL 700G.
• Operate Enoserv RTS, Megger, and Omicron testing equipment.
• Analyze test data, document results in field service reports.
• Rotate on-call duties for emergency response.
• Assist sales by providing technical expertise and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with NETA, NFPA70E, and ABM safety standards.
