Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Field Engineer to join our Electrical Power Services team. This role performs commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and startup activities for substation protection, control, automation, and related power systems, supporting safe project execution.

The Field Engineer evaluates test results, identifies technical issues, and develops recommendations with guidance from senior staff, while ensuring strong customer relationships and operational excellence.

Qualifications

Experience with commissioning and testing of electrical power systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in substations and related equipment.
Experience with startup activities and ongoing maintenance as part of project delivery.

Responsibilities

Perform protection and control testing, evaluate results and identify issues.
Develop recommendations with guidance from senior personnel when required.
Support project execution, technical quality, customer relationships and operations.
