Job summary

McClure Engineering is seeking a Technician to work on a wide range of projects involving complex buildings. The ideal candidate will coordinate with other disciplines and team members and pursue ongoing learning to ensure excellent design and engineering solutions on active construction sites.

Responsibilities include documenting electrical installations, inspecting components for conformance, completing punch lists, and communicating with on-site staff.

Qualifications

• Technical or Associate degree from an accredited technical institution or college is required.
• Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Engineering Technology or Construction Management is also acceptable.
• 2+ years’ experience in construction with preference in electrical, including familiarity with commercial construction systems.
• Familiar with Electrical Systems
• Experience working on construction sites
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Document electrical system installations for accuracy
• Inspect variety of electrical installations and components to ensure items have been accomplished according to design and specifications
• Complete Punch Lists to ensure quality control and consistency of electrical elements
• Photograph and document incorrect installations for review
• Effectively communicate with on site staff about problematic installs and additional notifications
• Coordinate with internal and external members on the project
• Possess a basic understanding of NEC and practices
• Maintain a strong attention to detail
