Job summary

McClure Engineering is seeking a Technician to work on a wide range of projects involving complex buildings. The role requires coordinating with disciplines on active construction sites and performing electrical installation checkout and quality control.

A basic understanding of electrical systems and NEC practices is required. The successful candidate will have 2+ years in construction (electrical preferred), proficiency in MS Office, and strong communication skills, with hybrid scheduling and

Qualifications

• Technical or Associates degree from an accredited technical institution or college is required.
• Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Engineering Technology or Construction Management is also acceptable.
• 2+ years’ experience in construction with preference in electrical including familiarity with commercial construction systems.
• Experience working on construction sites.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Document electrical system installations for accuracy.
• Inspect variety of electrical installations and components to ensure items have been accomplished according to design and specifications.
• Complete Punch Lists to ensure quality control and consistency of electrical elements.
• Photograph and document incorrect installations for review.
• Effectively communicate with on site staff about problematic installs and additional notifications.
• Coordinate with internal and external members on the project.
• Possess a basic understanding of NEC and practices.
• Maintain a strong attention to detail.
