Job summary

Signal Energy Constructors is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to support the Project Management team on field construction of electrical scope for renewable energy projects. This role requires hands-on leadership to ensure compliance with the owner’s contract.

You will mentor electrical superintendents, coordinate subcontractors, review drawings, track progress, manage materials, and uphold a strong safety culture on site, including JSA/JHA reviews and LOTO procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of NEC standards and electrical theory.
• Experience with means and methods of electrical activities including trenching, installation, terminations, and testing.
• Understanding of electrical equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, switches, cable, junction boxes, and inverters.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and identify discrepancies between drawings and installations.
• Ability to understand and execute a construction schedule and identify critical paths.
• Knowledge of safety standards including OSHA; arc flash hazards and proper LOTO techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the team of electrical superintendents.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of your team to keep subcontractors on schedule.
• Track and communicate progress through daily reports and meetings.
• Review engineering drawings to ensure construction aligns with the approved design.
• Coordinate delivery and tracking of materials; address delays with the project team.
• Promote a strong safety culture on site with subcontractors.
• Evaluate and sign off on permits and safety procedures (JSA/JHA).
• Review and supervise installation, testing, LOTO, and energization of electrical equipment.
