Job summary

Torrey Holistics seeks an Electrical Field Service Technician to implement and validate material handling systems across North America. You will load PLC programs, perform static functional tests, and validate I/O and device-level connections per operation docs.

The role requires 2+ years in industrial electrical work, proficiency with PLCs, electrical schematics, and networked controls. Expect 100% travel with per diem; strong teamwork and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience installing and/or maintaining conveyor equipment.
• Experience with PLCs, electrical panels, and field devices in industrial settings.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and prints.
• Proficiency in testing and validating control networks (Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, PROFIBUS, CAN).
• Willingness to travel 100% for extended periods across North America.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with electrical installers and Controls Engineers to implement material handling systems.
• Load emulated PLC programs and perform static functional testing per operation descriptions.
• Complete I/O and device-level checkout and validation.
• Identify and resolve PLC and field device issues and network problems.
• Provide progress reports and maintain checklists for validated subsystems.
• Turn over validated subsystems to Controls Engineering with validation documentation.
