Job summary

Shimmick Corporation, via its Axia Electric division, seeks an Electrical Field Engineer to deliver complex electrical and process control systems for Northern California infrastructure projects. You will join Axia Electric, a Shimmick subsidiary, and contribute to high-impact projects with a focus on safety, quality, and schedule.

You will perform engineering tasks, prepare calculations and drawings, assist with field inspections, and support project reporting and budgets.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Prior internships in Rail, Transit, and/or Water/Wastewater construction.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering tasks using standard techniques and criteria.
• Prepare calculations, drawings and visual aids.
• Assist with field inspections and evaluate workmanship and materials.
• Assist with construction administration and documentation of deficiencies and deviations from plans.
• Coordinate logistics and meetings for project managers.
• Assist with reports and development of project documentation.
• Support community outreach and project meetings.
• Maintain project files and budgets.
