Salamander Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Field Engineer to support our field installation, commissioning, and servicing of downhole heater systems and associated surface electrical equipment. This is a hands-on field role suited for professionals with oilfield electrical experience who want broader technical exposure and direct influence on field execution.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install and commission low- and medium-voltage equipment (HCU, transformers, junction boxes, cabling).
• Support system startup and commissioning activities.
• Oversee or support medium-voltage splicing and terminations.
• Troubleshoot recurring electrical issues and implement practical field solutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled testing.
• Provide on-site technical guidance to customers and field crews.
• Contribute to improving field procedures and equipment reliability.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3–7 years of oil & gas electrical field experience.
• Experience with control panels, switchgear, PLC and/or SCR systems.

Core Competencies:

• Medium-voltage splicing and termination exposure preferred.
• Background in service company, operator, downstream, onshore or offshore environments.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset and mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 30–60%, project dependent).
• Technical or engineering degree preferred, strong field experience highly valued.
