Job summary

Kforce Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking an Electrical Fabrication Designer to design and build infrastructure for manufacturing facilities on site.

The role involves 3D modeling with Revit, NEC-compliant designs, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to ensure accurate, clash-free models. Qualifications include an Associate degree or equivalent and 3-5 years of experience with electrical systems, plus familiarity with Revit MEP and related plugins.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred in Computerized Drafting or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience with exceptional ability.
• Proficient with electrical system components, conduit types, fittings, cable tray, etc.
• Experience designing commercial or industrial facilities.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of REVIT MEP and experience with related plugins is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform design, drafting and 3D modeling using Revit for electrical systems (power, lighting, fire alarm, safety, telecom).
• Use National Electric Code to create designs compliant with codes.
• Collaborate with engineers from multiple disciplines and coordinate 3D models.
• Create clash-free model with components to LOD400 and do flythroughs for stakeholders using Revizto.
• Interface with construction trades and perform field walks to review progress and model adherence.

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Austin, TX that is seeking an Electrical Fabrication Designer. What to Expect: Designing and building infrastructure at record speed is key to enabling us to scale worldwide. We are looking for a qualified Electrical Designer/Modeler to join our factory infrastructure engineering team onsite. This role will play a pivotal role in the design of complex manufacturing facilities. What You'll Do:

• Perform design, drafting and 3D modeling using Revit for electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarm, Security, Telecomm, etc.
• Use National Electric Code to create designs in compliance with national codes
• Interface and collaborate with engineers from multiple disciplines, including understanding 3D coordination with those disciplines
• Create clash-free model with components to LOD400 and perform flythroughs for stakeholders using Revizto
• Interface with construction trades and perform regular field walks to review installation progress and adherence to model

Requirements

• Associate's degree preferred in Computerized Drafting field, or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of experience and evidence of exceptional ability
• Proficient with electrical system components, conduit types, fittings, cable tray, etc.
• Strong desire to be a part of a world class team focused on achieving amazing results
• Experience designing commercial or industrial facilities
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment
• Highly organized mindset, a passion for driving multi-disciplinary projects, and an unparalleled ability to consistently perform at a high level
• Experience with Evolv, Revizto, Dynamo and other Revit plugins is preferred
• Knowledge of REVIT MEP is preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
