Job summary

Kidwell is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to deliver accurate project proposals for electrical services. The role collaborates with field and pre-sales engineering staff and vendors to prepare estimates for current and prospective customers.

The position emphasizes building accurate labor/material estimates, revising proposals and change orders, and identifying cost trends to drive ongoing cost reductions. Lincoln or Omaha location preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field or 4+ years of electrical experience and/or training is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; willingness to learn other estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Creates/revises estimates, proposals, and change orders for Kidwell's electrical services.
• Works with pre-sales and field engineering staff to build accurate labor and material estimates.
• Provides improvement recommendations to cost estimating procedures to reduce discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.
• Identifies cost trends to aid management in cost reduction and process improvement.
