Job summary

LF Driscoll, part of the STO Building Group, is seeking an Electrical Estimator to support operations in Bala Cynwyd. You will develop and prepare electrical cost estimates for diverse projects in early development stages and continually update cost information through the Pre-construction phase.

The role involves handling multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities include reviewing plans, preparing take-offs, soliciting bids, analyzing bids, and maintaining cost data.

Qualifications

• BS or BA required in construction, management, engineering, or architecture.
• 5+ years of experience in estimating or related roles for general contractor estimating and purchasing.
• Open to moving from field operations to preconstruction.
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office/Excel) and budgeting, purchasing, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and MEP drawings.
• Prepare quantity take-offs on assigned projects.
• Ensure a complete review of plans and drawings.
• Identify items omitted and ensure proper inclusion in estimates.
• Solicit subcontractor bids and manage bids across $50–$150M annual value.
• Obtain 3–5 bids per trade and supplier group.
• Review bids for conformance to specs, price, quality, and wages.
