Job summary

Design Solutions and Integration, an employee-owned company, seeks an experienced Electrical Estimator with an Oil & Gas background to support Permian Basin operations and a field team of about 55 electricians, based out of Midland, TX.

This role requires frequent field walks with customers; you will scope, design-build, and estimate projects from site visits and verbal requests, collaborating with Sales and Project Managers to ensure accurate bids.

Qualifications

• Conceptualize, design-build, and estimate from scratch without blueprints.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, midstream, upstream, or heavy industrial sectors.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, operations, and PMs.

Responsibilities

• Cross-Divisional collaboration to evaluate opportunities and help secure bids.
• Project hand-offs: communicate hours, budgets, and scope post-award.
• Design-build scoping via frequent field walks to identify requirements.
• End-to-end estimating from field notes and client scopes using McCormick Systems.
• Maintain and adapt McCormick database reflecting local conditions and crew rates.
• Account for hazardous environments (Class I, Division 1&2) in scope and budget.
• Consult with clients during walks to provide technical budgets and solutions.
