Job summary

Ace Electric is seeking an experienced Mission Critical Electrical Estimator to drive cost-accurate proposals for hyperscale data centers, industrial facilities, and large commercial projects. You will collaborate across operations, preconstruction, and leadership to develop competitive estimates and help win major projects.

You will review drawings, perform takeoffs, and develop budgets while identifying risks and opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of electrical estimating experience
• Experience in Mission Critical / Data Centers
• Experience in Industrial Construction
• Experience in Large Commercial Construction
• Design-Build Projects and Fast-Track Construction environments

Responsibilities

• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and project documents
• Perform detailed takeoffs and prepare accurate cost estimates
• Develop budgets, proposals, bid packages, and scope reviews
• Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, engineers, and operations teams
• Participate in preconstruction planning and value engineering efforts
• Assist with project turnover and support awarded projects
• Identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving strategies
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and industry partners
• Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and systems

Position Overview

As a Mission Critical Electrical Estimator, you will play a key role in the pursuit and execution of complex electrical construction projects including:

• Hyperscale Data Centers
• Mission Critical Facilities
• Industrial & Manufacturing Facilities
• Distribution Centers
• Large Commercial Projects

You’ll work closely with operations, preconstruction, project management, vendors, subcontractors, and executive leadership to develop accurate, competitive, and strategic estimates that drive project success.

Key Responsibilities

• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and project documents
• Perform detailed takeoffs and prepare accurate cost estimates
• Develop budgets, proposals, bid packages, and scope reviews

• 4+ years of electrical estimating experience
• Experience in:
  • Mission Critical / Data Centers
  • Industrial Construction
  • Large Commercial Construction
  • Design-Build Projects
  • Fast-Track Construction Environments

Technical Skills

• Accubid Anywhere or similar estimating software
• Bluebeam
• Microsoft Excel
• Blueprint and specification interpretation
• Strong understanding of NEC and electrical systems

Professional Skills

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• High attention to detail and organization
• Strategic and analytical thinking
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Post-secondary education or industry certifications preferred
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
