Rex Moore Electrical & Systems Contractors & Engineers in Reno, NV is seeking an Estimator I to join our pre-award team and help produce accurate, competitive cost estimates for electrical projects. The role supports the bid process from scope review to award.

This position requires knowledge of electrical systems, strong analytical skills, and the ability to coordinate with vendors and clients. Office-based with occasional site visits, it offers growth opportunities and training.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical systems in commercial/industrial environments.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specs.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, Accubid, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, Dynamics.
• Ability to meet deadlines with accurate takeoffs and proposals.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with pre-award processes and services.
• Review bid documents to define scope and identify risks.
• Define client expectations to shape scope.
• Provide detailed cost estimates for defined scope.
• Perform material takeoffs of electrical systems.
• Coordinate estimating with vendors, subcontractors, and clients.
• Obtain quotes for lighting, power distribution, generators.
• Enter takeoffs into Accubid.
• Collaborate with internal estimators.
• Prepare recap sheet for review and supervisor approval.
• Schedule and attend estimate reviews with preconstruction leadership.
• Follow up with clients post-bid.
