The successful candidate will have 5+ years of estimating experience, knowledge of NEC, and proficiency with estimating software and Excel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of electrical estimating experience.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and electrical construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
• Experience with large-scale or complex commercial projects.
• Experience using electrical estimating software and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for commercial electrical construction projects.
• Review electrical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.
• Prepare competitive and accurate bids.
• Review project scopes and identify gaps, risks, exclusions, and discrepancies.
• Analyze labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and other project costs.
• Coordinate with project managers, vendors, subcontractors, and field personnel.
• Evaluate bid documents and project requirements.
• Assist with developing pricing strategies and final bid submissions.
• Maintain accurate estimating documentation and records.
• Ensure estimates comply with applicable electrical codes and construction requirements.
• Support multiple projects and estimates while meeting deadlines.
• Mentor or provide guidance to junior estimators when needed.
