Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of electrical estimating experience; 10 years preferred.
• Proficiency in estimating software such as Accubid, McCormick, or ConEst.
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods, materials, and installation processes.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and construction documents.
• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with diverse teams.
• Capability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
• Experience with commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical cost estimates for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
• Review project scopes, specifications, and bid documents to determine resource requirements.
• Perform material pricing and quantity takeoffs for electrical systems and components.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes for accurate project pricing.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify risks and opportunities for cost optimization.
• Prepare bid proposals, scope letters, and documentation for client presentations.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project planning sessions.
• Maintain vendor and supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
• Support project turnover processes to ensure seamless execution and delivery.
