Helix Electric Inc. is seeking an experienced Estimator to join the service department's estimating team, collaborating with clients, suppliers, and fellow estimators on bid submissions for service projects.

You will review drawings, prepare change order takeoffs, solicit supplier quotes, and produce cost analyses to support timely, accurate proposals. The role emphasizes accuracy, adherence to project specs, and coordination with project managers to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining

Competenze

• 4+ years of electrical construction estimating experience.
• Degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Experience reviewing proposals, drawings, and change orders.
• Ability to prepare estimates and cost analyses.
• Experience with supplier quotes and subcontractor selection.

Mansioni

• Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of change order scope of work.
• Request quotes from suppliers for equipment and materials.
• Identify qualified suppliers and subcontractors for quotes.
• Review quotes for completeness with plans and specifications of change order.
• Responsible for timely completion of all takeoffs and costs analysis for project change order estimates.
• Draft scope letter inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications for estimates.
• Complete change order proposal costs for distribution and review.
